Andy Harkavy, Regional Director of Youth Engagement, NFTY Ohio Valley (OV)

Andy HarkavyAndy Harkavy is excited to return to the Buckeye State and to serve as the Regional Director of Youth Engagement for NFTY-OV and Cincinnati Youth Engagement Advisor. Andy was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a member of Temple Kehillat Chaim (TKC) and a loyal NFTY SAR and URJ Camp Coleman alum. Andy received his B.A. at the University of Georgia and his Master of Arts in Jewish Communal Service from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University. over the years, Andy served as the Steinhardt Jewish Campus Service Corps Fellow at Ohio State Hillel, as a Unit Head at URJ Henry S. Jacobs Camp, and as the Director of Youth Engagement at Temple Beth El in Charlotte, North Carolina where he exponentially increased participation and brought the program national recognition.

Since 2013, Andy has served as the Director of BEIT-RJ, the post B’nai Mitzvah education program for the Reform Jewish community in Baltimore. Andy looks forward to getting to know the wonderful teens of Ohio Valley and building meaningful relationships with all of the teens. In his free time, he enjoys biking, playing racquetball, Frisbee, hiking, and other recreational sports. Andy and his new wife Megan moved to Cincinnati and they are excited to be a part of the Cincinatti Jewish community and NFTY-OV family.
