Imogene Winkleman, Regional Advisor, NFTY New York Area Region (NAR)
Imogene Winkleman comes to the role of Regional Advisor having spent the past year working part-time as NFTY-NAR's program associate. An alumna of NFTY-NAR and the URJ Kutz Camp, Imogene grew up at Woodlands Community Temple in White Plains, NY, where she was a part of WoodSY and ran the congregation's Rosh Hodesh program, and spent her summers at URJ Camp Harlam as both a camper and a counselor. Throughout her high school years, Imogene served as regional songleader and spent two terms on NFTY-NAR's Regional Board, first as Westchester/Fairfield Membership Vice President and then as Programming Vice President. In college, Imogene oversaw Clark University's All Kinds of Girls mentoring program and worked as a Junior Youth Advisor for Temple Beth Elohim of Wellesley, MA.
Imogene graduated from Clark University with a B.A. in Psychology and Women's & Gender Studies. Before becoming NFTY NAR Regional Advisor, Imogene worked in government relations for The Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services and served as an Activist Alliance Volunteer for the National Organization of Women's NYC Chapter (NOW-NYC). In her spare time, Imogene enjoys attending concerts, biking, playing her guitar, and exploring parks and markets.
