• NFTY North American Board’s Statement on the Attack of Reform Rabbis at the Western Wall

    Last week, a group of 150 Reform Jewish leaders were attacked at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The group included Rabbi Rick Jacobs (Union for Reform Judaism), Gilad Kariv (Reform Movement in Israel), and Anat Hoffman (Israel Religious Action Center and Women of the Wall), alongside the Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

    When looking at colleges, I looked at factors like the school’s scholarships, study abroad opportunities, Hillel atmosphere, and many other features as I tried to find my perfect fit. However, in a day in age where we often hear about shootings on college campuses, my friends and I found that we have to consider school’s safety policies that aim to keep students safe, policies like campus carry laws.

  • A Stronger, Vibrant Future for NFTY

    During President’s Day weekend, more than 150 teens from all 19 NFTY regions and 40 staff gathered at the URJ Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) to take part in our NFTY Veida.     On February 12th-15th, teen leaders from across the the continent will gather at URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin for NFTY’s biennial business meeting, Veida. Happening in the years between NFTY Conventions, these four days provide a unique opportunity for leaders of our movement to gather for learning, collaboration, and to discuss NFTY as it applies to their regions and as well the movement on a North American level.
