NFTY Giving Days
Starting November 12th, we are launching a friendly competition to support Reform Jewish teens! Current teens and alumni will join forces to sustain our beloved teen-powered youth Movement.
Anyone can sign up to fundraise! When you sign up to fundraise, you’ll be invited to join a team structured around the different regions where NFTY programs are held. The team with the most points will win the NFTY Giving Days Championship title and will be honored online with epic bragging rights!
How teams earn points:
- For every 10 donors that have given to your team, your team receives 3 points
- For every monthly giving plan created for a team, your team receives 2 points
- Team points will be updated daily at 9 am until the campaign closes at midnight on Giving Tuesday, November 28th.
FAQs:
Q: I’m unsure about participating in this campaign with everything going on in Israel. Have you thought about this?
A: Absolutely! This is an incredibly difficult time for our community. Even with all that is going on in Israel, we believe that sustaining Jewish teens in North America is meaningful and worthy of continued investment. Our teens are being affected by this current conflict and we’re providing an important space for healing, especially at The Collab. Together, we are moving forward out of a place of abundance and trust that each member of our community will decide how they want to direct their philanthropy.
Q: What fund are these gifts going to?
A: Gifts for this campaign will go to NFTY general support, allowing NFTY leadership to allocate your dollars to the greatest need within our teen community: scholarships, staff support, buses for teens to events, supporting regions and more. All funds will stay within NFTY to support Reform teens and will not transfer to another part of the URJ.
Q: I’m planning to also participate in a microgrants campaign. How does this campaign fit into the microgrants fundraising?
A: This campaign is a three-week period in which we ask our community to focus on sustaining NFTY for the future by participating in the Giving Days. When teens participate as fundraisers for this campaign, we hope to help develop their skills for future fundraising initiatives, including microgrants and other opportunities they may have coming up. We will also have the power of our NFTY alumni behind us in this campaign, and we strive to have them mentor and model for teens who can then run successful microgrant campaigns.
