Welcome to NFTY SAR!

NFTY is a movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. Together, we pursue tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism. NFTY’s Southern Area Region includes South Carolina; Georgia; Charlotte, NC; Chattanooga, TN; Montgomery, AL; Jacksonville, FL; and Tallahassee, FL.


NFTY-SAR Winter Kallah

January 13-15, 2023 at URJ Camp Coleman

Lights, Camera, Action! NFTY-SAR Winter Kallah is now live! Spend January 13-15 with us at Camp Coleman and get the ultimate Hollywood experience. Teens will get the chance to reconnect with old friends, make new friends, engage in their passions, and have an unforgettable weekend! We can’t wait to see everyone soon!

This event is open to any Jewish 9th-12th Grader.

Cost: The early bird fee is only $274 through November 30, after which the regular tuition is $299.

Scholarship: Financial reasons should never be a barrier for teens to be able to attend and participate in URJ Camps & Immersives programs. Check with your congregation to see what scholarship funds are available and if additional funds are needed please email Adam Griff

Transportation: The event begins on Friday, January 13 at 5:00pm and concludes Sunday, January 15 at 2:00pm.

There are two options for your transportation when you register for the event. Choose the one that matches your method of travel:

  1. Arriving Via Car or with a synagogue sponsored transportation option
  2. Atlanta bus (Temple Beth Tikvah, Roswell, GA)
    1. Will leave TBT (Roswell, GA) at 3:30pm on January 13 and will return to TBT at 3:30pm on January 15
    2. Cost: $50

Please be in touch with your home congregation if you are not riding the Atlanta bus about possible transportation plans from congregations to Camp Coleman. Transportation is NOT included in the registration fee.

Meals:  All meals will meet dietary needs as much as possible including gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian. Please be sure to indicate your teen’s most up to date dietary needs in their registration.

COVID: Based on our current planning, vaccines and pre-travel rapid testing will be required. Mask wearing will be optional. Click here for the current COVID Protocols and FAQ for URJ short-term programs.
