Zoe Babione (she/her)
My name is Zoe Babione (she/her) and I am currently a junior in high school. For the past two years I have served on the NFTY-PAR Board as SAVP in 2022-2023 and am currently serving as PAR President for the 2023-2024 school year. Additionally, I have participated in the RAC Teen Justice Fellowship and Yallah! Israel summer program. Currently, I am a part of the Teen Israel Organizing Immersive, RAC-PA Leadership Team, and am co-heading an Israel Cohort on a Movement Wide Campaign. Outside of the URJ, I am an active member of my high school’s performing arts department in shows, choir, and band. I am also a member of the National Honors Society, Tri-M Music Honors Society, and the International Baccalaureate Program. I am so thankful for this opportunity and I hope that I can help continue to foster this incredible NFTY community as a member of NAB.
Madeline Barenboim (she/her)
I am going to be a senior from Boca Raton FL (STR). I have been on leadership teams helping plan events like Camp Jenny, The Collab, NFTY-STR regional events, and TYG Events, and I am incredibly grateful and proud of what I have been able to do and all of the incredible connections, relationships, and opportunities that NFTY has given me. I also attend URJ Camp Coleman and I am passionate about music and social justice.
Sara Borek (she/her)
Hi! My name is Sara Borek, and I’m so excited for the opportunity to be considered for North American Board! I’m currently a senior in high school, and plan to attend Indiana University next year to study political science, Jewish studies, and international relations. I’ve held both the Communications VP and President position for the Ohio Valley region, and I grew up going to camp at GUCI. Even though I love my midwestern roots, I hope I can expand my passion for Judaism to all of North America! I love learning about, teaching about, and advocating for Israel and the wider Jewish community, and hopefully I’ll be able to continue doing that with NFTY.
Mali Cooper (she/her)
Mali Cooper from Long Island, NY is an active member at Temple Beth El of Great Neck, and a junior at Great Neck North High School. She attended her first NFTY event in 2019 and has attended Eisner Camp since she was 7 years old. Mali has served as Membership VP and Programming VP of NFTY-NAR. She also attended Yallah! Israel, participated in the Teen Israel Organizing Immersive and Fellowship, and has worked behind the scenes for NFTY by fundraising and programming/group leading for Collab 2023. Mali is determined to accomplish anything she sets her mind to while smiling. Mali competitively swims and dives. She also took on the task of learning to speak, read, and write Mandarin Chinese from the age of 7 to the present day. She is extremely excited to work as a Junior Counselor at Eisner Camp this summer, and meet many more reform jews.
Barak Landis (he/him)
Barak Landis is a New York City native and a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, a Rodeph Sholom School graduate and a senior at Grace Church School. He started attending URJ Camp Harlam at age 7 and attended his first NFTY event, NFTY Nashir in Chicago, at 8.
Barak attended URJ Heller High and Yallah! Israel. He served as NFTY-NAR Programming VP for two years before joining this year’s North American Leadership Team, where his portfolio included programming, Israel, and regional mentorship. He also serves on all three Movement-Wide Campaigns and was on The Collab Core Team. Barak has attended L’Taken three times and participated in and recruited for the RAC Teen Justice Fellowship.
Barak plays hockey and soccer, and serves as captain of his debate team, Jewish Affinity Group leader and a Student Ambassador. He is a passionate fan of the New York Rangers, Mets, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Shayna Levy (she/her)
Hi!!! My name is Shayna (she/her) and I am a senior in high school from Austin, Tx. I am the NFTY-TOR Regional President, and the year before that I served as Social Action Vice President in NFTY-TOR. I have also helped plan the Collab both in 2022 and in 2023 and I have done the RAC Teen Justice Fellowship twice! I am passionate about social action, especially through a Jewish lens, and I plan to study political science in college. When I am not doing NFTY things, I love playing tennis, going to concerts, and finding the best bagel spot in Austin!
Matt Loiterstein (they/them)
Matt Loiterstein is a junior at Ladue High School who resides in St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up, NFTY made a profound impact on their life. As a camper at OSRUI for 8 years, Matt was inspired to become a trained songleader and group facilitator. They are currently serving as the NFTY Regional SAVP and the local RCVP. Outside of NFTY, Matt is an honors student and maintains involvement in several activities including competitive dancing, teaching Hebrew school, Jewish Student Union, powerlifting club and the freshman ambassador program. Upon high-school graduation, they plan on pursuing a degree in astrophysics. Matt attributes much of their success to experiences with NFTY and they are excited and honored for the chance to give back.
Benji Rosenblum (he/him)
Hi, I’m Benji Rosenblum! I’m 18 years old, from Phoenix, Arizona. I’ve been involved in NFTY since 7th grade, with my most recent projects being helping to plan the Collab 2023, and working on the movement-wide campaign. I’m a huge nerd when it comes to just about everything, and I regularly do deep dives into whatever special interest I have at the time. When I’m not working on NFTY projects or hanging out with other NFTY-ites, you can find me practicing cardistry, backpacking, belting out musical theater songs, and conducting blind taste tests to find out which type of flour makes the best pizza dough. I love cooking for my family and friends, and there’s nothing that brings me more joy than seeing people I care about come together over good food. If you need a recipe or suggestion for what to cook, I’ve got you covered.
Frogby Sachs (they/them)
Hi NFTY! I’m Frogby (they/them), and I’m a rising senior from Austin, TX. I’ve served two years as the Programming Vice President for NFTY-TOR (Texas-Oklahoma Region), and I’m one of the original members of the Collab Core Team. I love planning fun and meaningful opportunities for NFTYites, and I would love nothing more than to bring the NFTY experience to the Reform Jewish teens who I know would love it. I keep myself pretty busy, but in my free time you’ll find me thrifting with friends, working out, or at a coffee shop with my sister. Please please please reach out to me- I’m always looking to improve my Jewish Geography game, and I promise I don’t bite.
